YUVAL AVIRAM

Dancer

Yuval Aviram (1988) started his artistic journey as a professional Brazilian couple dancer, captivating audiences worldwide since 2009. He expanded his skills to singing with various ensembles beginning in 2012. In 2016 he started dancing in companies such as KCDC2 (2017) and Fresco (2017-2019), where he performed in compelling works by Rami Be'er and Yoram Karmi. In 2019, he joined Inbal dance company, contributing to productions by Idan Sharabi and Mor Shani. Recently, he participated in musicals like Hope, Rent, and The Station (2021-2022). He also participated in independent dance projects, including Ultraviolence (2022). Most recently, he collaborated with Shirly Barbie in the piece MAITRI, and participated in Movement Exhibition 2022.

MAYA YAHAV

Dancer

Maya was born in Jerusalem Israel in 1997. Maya is a Vertigo Dance International Program graduate. In the program, she performed pieces by Noa Tzuk, Lior Tavori, Olivia Court Messa, Roy Assaf, Keren Horesh and more. Maya has accumulated experience in various dance styles such as flamenco, character, jazz, hip-hop and acrobatics. Moreover, she is a professional singer and actress, plays the piano, guitar, and drums. Performed in music concerts and musicals. Maya is currently performing the piece “illusion” by choreographer Noa Turner, which was praised by the Suzanne Dellal Center for dance and theater. She has been invited to perform it worldwide, beginning in August 2023. Maya started to collaborate with Shirly as a soloist in the creation Prologue, as a part of Movement Exhibition (2022) and later on in Close-Up, a solo piece created by Shirly Barbie and Guy Dagan.

ALEXA LERNER

Actress

Alexa Lerner (1990) is a French-Israeli actress, writer, and creator. She is a graduate of the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts and the founder of the company Audio drama, together with Or matza. Additionally Lerner acts in numerous plays at the National Theater of Israel-Habima and the Cameri Theater, acts in Israeli movies and has collaborated with the Israeli philharmonic. Lerner co-created the Walk With Me - an audio play based on walking in public spaces. The project has numerous locations, including Central Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Gesher Theater. Alexa wrote and produced the world’s first ever audio series, HaKaveret, on Kan 11. Israeli Broadcasting Corporation. The series portrays the criminal underbelly of Tel Aviv’s Kerem HaTeimanim neighborhood in the 1970s, and features prominent Israeli actors. Audio Drama is currently developing several innovative projects and content. She collaborated with Shirly Barbie in the play Sane in 2017, a monodrama that appeared at Hasimta Theater in Tel Aviv for more then two years.

SHANI HADASHI

Dancer

Shani Hadashi (2000) is an Israeli contemporary dancer. She graduated from Vertigo International Dance Program in 2020, and proceeded to dance in Kolben Dance Company, and Jerusalem Dance Theater (2020-2022). As of july 2022, joined the cast of IVONA, a project based company of artistic director and choreographer Pablo Girolam. Her collaboration with Shirly Barbie started in 2017, when Shani was a dance student of Shirly’s classes for several years and worked with her in the piece MAITRI in 2021.

RAKEFET BINYAMIN

Director

Rakefet Binyamin (1981) has an MFA in theater direction and an MA in theater directing from Tel Aviv University, and a teaching diploma from Seminar Hakibbutzim College. In her career as an actress, she graduated from the Beit Zvi High School for Acting, and performed at the Yaffa Gabai Theater. Her unique artistic style is characterized by vibrant colors, expressive movements, poetic scenes and larger-than-life characters and has garnered attention both in Israel and in Europe. In Israel, her creations have been showcased at renowned theaters like Habima National Theater, HaCameri, Tzavta and more. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Rakefet is the director and leader of the Tel Aviv Gay Ensemble, a theater group in the LGBTQ+ community based at the Tel Aviv Gay Center. Her commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity in the arts has been recognized by prestigious awards, including the first prize in the International Fringe Theater for her production This One Shall Be Called Woman accolades for Under the Skin in 2016 Rakefet has been collaborating with Shirly Barbie since 2013. They have worked together on plenty of projects and plays, such as Lady Stigmata (2021) written by Yonatan Calderon, and performed at Habima, Anti by Jean Anouilh at the Autumn Festival in the same year and Child's Play by Yariv Bareli and Alon Shapira at the Autumn Festival in 2020. They have also collaborated on the plays This One Shall Be Called Woman (2019) and on Under the skin (2016). Both were written by Yonatan Calderon and received theater awards. Rakefet and Shirly continue to collaborate and create meaningful projects together. They work on joint ventures at Beit Zvi School,and with the Tel Aviv Gay Ensemble. Their goal is to deliver impactful artistic experiences and to inspire audiences worldwide ‘Habima’ in 2019, and accolades for Under the Skin in 2016 Rakefet has been collaborating with Shirly Barbie since 2013. DARIA KRASNOVA

Costume designer

Daria Krasnova (1978) is a costume designer and illustrator located in Israel. During her studies in art, fashion, and design, Daria focused on color, structure, and materials. Daria's previous projects include constructing high-end designers’ clothes and gowns, and creating her own couture lingerie label, Si Señor. Her designs have appeared in boutiques and fashion productions, and have been used to illustrate poems and in different theater plays. In her creative process Daria explores the sensitivity of gesture, sound, material, motion, and form in expanse and how they become art. These themes and fabrics are woven together to form passion and have been used in collaborations with dance and music artists and appeared in the costumes of Maitri, Lizistrata, Victims & Images, Calypso and more. According to Daria: "I am fascinated by how life is assembled out of fragments, nuances and moments, which lead me into a deeper understanding of communication between human beings". She collaborated with Shirly Barbie in the process of MAITRI, and created costumes for Movement Exhibition 2022.
