BodyMind is derived from various disciplines, such as contemporary dance, improvisation exercises, floorwork, ballet, yoga, and Pilates. It integrates breathwork, guided imagery, meditation, and emotional exploration.
Practicing BodyMind helps the practitioner develop new habits, increases their self-awareness, and improves their daily breathing, flexibility, and stability.
This practice encourages transformation in both the physical body and the practitioner’s consciousness and emotional world. Through this work and encouragement, the effects of the practice extend far beyond the duration of a single session.
About the class
In the BODYMIND All Levels class, no previous experience in dance or movement training is necessary.
The participants are guided through a series of tasks, are provided with imagery and tools that encourage them to venture beyond the familiar boundaries of self-perception, and are encouraged to form new patterns of movement and develop new physical abilities. All participants actively engage in the instructions, discovering how to subjectively interpret the information provided and carrying out the instructions according to their personal abilities.
BODYMIND All Levels classes are open to participants aged 16 years or older. Participants should come wearing comfortable clothes and be prepared to dance barefoot.
